Blue Line has done a large number of implementations of this product and are experts in how to make it fit the more flexible consolidations requirements of North America.

Enterprise Planning

Designing and implementing Cognos Enterprise Planning applications has been Blue Line’s largest offering — and we are one of five largest implementers of this product in the world. Not only was our CTO one of the 3 people who dreamed up the product around a kitchen table in a 400 year old English farmhouse, but we are still on a first name basis with most of the development team.

Cognos 8 BI.

For nearly every planning or consolidations system we implement, we put in a management reporting system alongside. Cognos 8 is a unified and seamlessly integrated BI suite. For you this is a good thing — instead of spending money coaxing the various parts to fit together, with Cognos 8 you can jump right to the data architecture and report designs. You’d rather spend your money on this, and we’d rather spend our time doing it.

TM1

Far more modern than offerings from Hyperion of Microsoft, TM1 is an in-memory analysis database that takes analytics to a whole new level. And the key is the in-memory part — its much faster and requires far less maintenance to keep running. Plus, you don’t have to take it off-line to make changes to structures. Blue Line has extensive experience with TM1 -- several of the largest TM1 implementations in North America have been designed and implemented by our team. More importantly, we are one of only a few organizations with extensive experience tightly coupling TM1 and Cognos 8BI; creating dashboard driven solutions with powerful and attractive reporting and briefing books.
